Summer Slimdown Giveaway Week 2

Creating new habits can take a while.  I don’t expect you all to suddenly be living this healthy lifestyle overnight.  Give yourself the gift of a fresh start each Monday.  Pick something specific to work on.  Last week, my focus was to increase my water intake.  I had a crazy week with family in town, so I needed to focus on something simple.  This week, I’m focusing on keeping my home, body, soul, and business in balance so that I can avoid emotional eating.  I have set specific goals of what I want to work on and I’m going to dedicate just 15 minutes a day in the areas of home (working on organizing that pesky kitchen cabinet – bills, receipts, etc) and my soul (getting in QUIET TIME so I can clear my mind and connect with God).  Really, I should devote more than 15 minutes a day to Quiet Time and Organizing my Home, but I’m starting small.  Working on my business is more fun, so I tend to let those other things go, but I know they are necessary for my peace and sanity.  I would love to hear how you all did last week and what you are going to focus on this week.

That brings us to this week’s giveaway.  You all know my great love for low-glycemic smoothies.  I’d much rather whip up a healthy low glycemic smoothie than cook a hot breakfast in the morning.  This week, I’m giving away three copies of Slender with a Blender.  This fabulous little cookbook has quite the variety of smoothie recipes.  I’ll feature one of my favs tomorrow.

  1. Ok, I would love to win this book, but what I really need to win is a blender!!! Mine is completely un-usable. Leaks liquid every time…. But I’ll take the book for now :)

    I so wish I were giving away a blender with this cookbook. I don’t know yet what the best blender is. We had a magic bullet for quite some time. It was great for personal use, but there were times when I wished we had something bigger. Now we have the Hamilton Beach Dual Wave Versatile Blender which was the same price as our Bullet, but gave us more options and the single serving size cups are also bigger. But, it leaks :( Some day, I’ll own a Vitamix!
