I am a crier. I have always been a sensitive person. Well tonight as I am having tons of stress in my life (I know I always say…don’t stress it’s not good for you, but I am human!!) I started crying. I cried hard. You know the snot running down your face hard!!
After I was done, face all splotched and puffy, I felt good! I felt so good.
I have always wondered what it is that makes you feel good after a good cry. So I decided to look it up. In the Wikipedia online I got my info. Due to the hormone adrenocorticotropic it somehow mixes with another thing that releases stress. (I am not a dr, but I thought it was interesting!! And no I cannot pronounce the name!) Another thing I found interesting is that on average men cry once every month and women cry at least 5 times a month. This is the perfect opportunity to tell our significant other, family, and/or friends…it is perfectly normal to cry.
You know how that song goes…”It’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to…” It’s so true! The party planner is stressed and needs a way to let it all out. I know I have talked about being stressed does a ton of crap to your body, like helps it so you can’t lose weight easy, it makes it hard to sleep at night, and other things. This is what you need: a good healthy cry session. I am not saying you need to go and hit yourself or stub your toe to make yourself cry. That is a different cry so I am not sure it will release the right hormone, but the next time you are feeling stressed…let it out. Just have a snot running down your face cry! I can tell you I am feeling much better now!

Ok, so I am too stressed to cry but I so want to. Not because anything is going wrong. I am just wanting to make sure this event goes smoothly. I keep telling myself to just be thorough, do my best and people will understand. Have fun with this and keep the vision. But I still would love to hang out in my bathtub with some calgon and just let myself cry. I think I am scheduling that on Saturday night!
Thanks for the post! It didn’t make me cry yet but I am sure I will drip soon.
Even chubby moms need to cry. LOL
