Okay…so, I might be obsessed with mixing things with pure organic maple syrup and drizzling it over popcorn…like peanut butter – totally hooked! So, when I saw this recipe in doTERRA Living Magazine, I knew I had to try it. Tried it, adjusted it and now you have an incredibly delicious popcorn recipe that is a MUST share at holiday parties and (like me), out back with the neighborhood kids! They couldn’t keep their hands out of it.
While popping 1 cup of corn kernals, melt in a small saucepan 1/3 cup organic extra virgin coconut oil. Remove from heat and add 1/3 cup pure organic maple syrup, 3 drops of Cinnamon oil and 6 drops of doTERRA OnGuard essential oil. Please only use Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oil that is safe to take internally. Most essential oils out there say, “Do not ingest” on the label because they do not do any testing to make sure that what you’re getting is actually pure essential oil (even if the label says 100% pure). After you add your oils and stir, drizzle over popcorn. Then, sprinkle ground cinnamon all over it and mix well. Add a bit of salt if desired.
