Hi! I’m Stephanie from Arizona. I love connecting with people here locally and providing individualized wellness consultations as well as education classes. Our family uses essential oils for so many purposes and have had many incredible experiences that have brought us comfort and healing. My all-time favorite oil is peppermint. It helps my husband Scott sleep at night. He previously had such a hard time sleeping due to restless legs syndrome. I use peppermint regularly throughout the day on my head and neck for headaches and overall pick-me-up. Each of my 4 kids also have their favorites.
Hi Healthy Mom’s Kitchen fans! I’m Heather. I love connecting with people through Healthy Mom’s Kitchen, sharing exercise and fitness tips and recipe ideas. I have gleaned so much from others that it is fun to have a chance to share my loves and ideas. I am a big believer that we have to look at our own situation and make things work for our families – what is right for my family may not be the best fit for someone else.
I am a wife of 13 years and a mother of 4 children – 2 boys, 2 girls. My family brings me my greatest joy. When not playing with my family, you can find me shaking my booty or pumping iron at the gym, or playing with the Brownie Girl Scouts I lead. I am certified through AFAA and AEA to teach group fitness, step aerobics, aqua aerobics and deep water aerobics. I have training in prentatal fitness, senior fitness, weight training and cycle. I love teaching Zumba® and Aqua Zumba – it brings out the crazy side of me. Being the group exercise instructor has several benefits: I have to go (no excuses!), free membership, motivation to be as fit as my participants, someone else has my kids for an hour, etc. But my favorite thing about leading fitness classes are seeing people make changes in their lives – people who can do things that they couldn’t do before because they lift weights; participants telling me about their races and triathalons; people telling me about their struggles with health and weight loss and how exercise has helped them to feel better. That is what I love!
As a busy mom of 4 kids, I understand how difficult it can be to fit in fitness and healthy eating. We all know it can be difficult to implement what we know we should do. I hope that somebody can take a few of the ideas I will share and make them work in their life and family.

This is Tara! I found Nisha last summer through Bountiful Baskets. I enjoy this coop so much, I am an Volunteer Area Coordinator (VAC) for our area, helping Volunteer Site Coordinators (VSC) run their sites. I loved the meal plans Nisha posted using Bountiful Baskets each week. I kept following the blog and loved the inspiring posts on healthy eating as well health and happiness in all areas of your life. I did the 8 week program last fall and lost 20 pounds! It really has been easy for me to maintain this weight loss. I am not quite done in my weight release journey, (I have some skinny jeans teasing me in the closet) but am enjoying learning how to love myself and my body. I have some great cheerleaders: my husband Tommy, and our two children, Howie 7 and Olivia 3. This transformation has been the best thing for me, in turn, helping my family. I love to cook and bake and my family are brutally honest critics. So be assured only the top rated recipes make the cut.
Hello! I’m Katie. I have been stalking Healthy Mom’s Kitchen for a long time, but finally came to a dead-end in my life in August and couldn’t figure out what I needed to do. I once again “happened” upon Nisha’s great website full of ideas. I hopped on board because it felt SO right. I am so, so happy I did. I have been living my healthy lifestyle since September and have released 20 pounds(even with having 2 surgeries), figured out what makes me happy and healthy as a wife, mother and woman. I am so happy to be able to share the happiness I have found. I am still on my own personal journey and have a lot to learn but I love to help others feel what I have felt! I also enjoy trying new recipes that fit into this lifestyle and share them with others so they can enjoy feeling great and loving their bodies too!
Hi my name is Michelle. I am excited to be a part of Healthy Mom’s Kitchen and to share the tools and skills I have learned in my life. I am an expert in concentrated mothering as I had 4 kids in 3 years. While I was raising my children I spent 7 years homeschooling them and delighted in hands on learning. We traveled as a family extensively visiting historical and science related sites. During this busy time I cultivated a love for self reliance. Making it a priority to learn skills for storing food- including canning and gardening, and to cook and rotate food from my storage as well- which included weekly whole wheat bread making. Unfortunately as a busy mother I did not take care of myself as I should have and the inches and weight piled on. Now I am in a different stage of life- I am a grandma of 2, my husband and I are newly empty nesters, and we have been trying to concentrate on living healthier. I recently had success with weight loss, losing 45 lbs! Unfortunately I have struggled a bit to keep off the pounds and inches that I lost. So I have been on a quest to learn more info to help me live a healthy life style. As I have been gleaning, and searching for, more information on long term health ideas and yummy healthy recipes, I met Nisha through my daughter Britt. I was very impressed with Nisha’s knowledge and ability to empower others in a healthy mom friendly way and wanted to be a part of it! I am grateful for the opportunity I have to now focus on healthy nutrition and to share my knowledge and expertise with food storage online!
Hi there! My name is Brittany. I am a wife of a loving and very supportive husband, Andy. I am also a mom of two very busy and handsome boys, Kade and Logan. Both under the age of 2. I never had any issues with my weight before I got pregnant with Kade. I gained 90lbs during that pregnancy, and have been on and off with the YoYo dieting and trying to loose weight. Some worked but were not a lasting change. I had basically given up when I discovered Nisha’s program My healthy transformation back in September. It was exactly what I needed! A healthy lifestyle change! I have lost 32 lbs and I am feeling the best I have in a long time! I love trying to take recipes and make them healthier, I can’t wait to share what I have learned! I also love to take pictures and Nisha is being kind in using my skills for her blog! I love life and I feel super blessed that I get to help you in your journey to a healthier you!
Hello friends! I am Deanna. I am so happy to be able to contribute my fitness knowledge to Healthy Mom’s Kitchen! I love to help people look and feel great about themselves!
I am a mom of 3: 1 boy and 2 girls. They keep me very busy. My journey in fitness began about 9 years ago when my youngest was 2 years old. I met up with a personal trainer who helped me to change my eating habits and taught me how to strength train. I lost 35 pounds! The frustration came when I didn’t know how to maintain this new weight. I decided to join a gym and through strength training classes I was able to tone up a little bit but I was still not where I wanted to be.
Along this road, my husband and I found it necessary (given the shape of the economy) for me to take a part-time job. As I thought about what I really liked to do, exercise kept popping into my mind, so I decided to certify as a personal trainer through AFAA. I instructed a fitness boot camp and trained clients at a local private gym and this past summer, I held a Fit Camp at a neighborhood park. My most recent venture has been becoming a Coach with BeachBody (producers of P90X, Insanity, TurboFire). It’s given me another avenue to help my clients get fit fast!
I absolutely love to see people change their inactive lives into living healthy and vibrant lives!

I am the food editor at foxnews.com. I saw your delicious and interesting version of a grilled cheese. I would like to include it in a slideshow I am doing on grilled cheese. Can I use your image and link back to your blog?
I just baked the multigrain bread recipe. Wow! Delicious! I was not able to locate the recipe for 2 loaves. Has that been posted? Thank you!
Stephanie, I can’t believe I read this tonight. We just figured out tonight that my 80 year old, diabetic dad is having blood sugar crashes caused by drinking quinine water for his restless leg syndrome. Peppermint oil just might be the answer we need. Can you please tell me how your husband uses it?
Thank you so much!
