My Healthy Transformation

QUESTION:

  • Do you tell yourself “I’ll start [a healthier lifestyle] tomorrow.”  “I’ll start next week.”

  • Do you wonder if you’ll ever be attractive and sexy again?

  • Are you sick and tired of feeling sick and tired?!

  • Do you make changes more successfully with group support?

  • Are you ready to tackle your unhealthy habits ONE step at a time?

  • Are you ready to get back in your skinny jeans?!

If you said “YES” to any of those questions, the *My Healthy Transformation Program* is for YOU!!!

The purpose of this program is to motivate you and help you take one step at a time toward a healthier lifestyle, NOT overwhelm you! We do this the right way so that you can make PERMANENT change.  The My Healthy Transformation Program is a virtual program with built in group support and one-on-one accountability with our Healthy Mom’s Kitchen Team.  Our private community contains all the training you need in both Mind and Body Breakthrough so that you can transform from the inside out.  This is not a go-on-willpower DIET!  We give you the tools needed to make a permanent healthy change – starting with what’s happening inside your head first.  As you’ve experienced in the past, it’s very difficult to make healthy choices each day when in your head, you’re telling yourself, “I hate my body!”  “This is hard!”  “I can’t do it.”  “I’m not worth it.”  “I’ll never succeed.”

Testimonials:

Once I heard about the 8 week challenge I knew I had to make the next step to recovering my energy and life.  I began to learn about a Low Glycemic Lifestyle.  I learned it is widely used in Europe, Australia and Canada. I thought I’d give it a try. It worked! I began to learn how to eat.  The helpful snack sheet and educational information provided assisted me in learning how to eat.  The steps in the challenge were not always easy at times, but as each week ended the process began to get easier and easier.  I once loved chocolate and have found that I really don’t love it, just thought I did.  Since beginning the challenge and lifestyle change I have released 32 pounds in 8 weeks. Even simple changes in your diet can have a profound effect.

I am so glad I signed up to do the 8 week transformation program!  With the health issues my family deals with each day (type I diabetes, celiac disease, thyroid and other autoimmune problems) I knew we needed to make a major change in our diets and lifestyles.  I had tried several times over the past couple of years to make small changes, but I was so addicted to sugar and junk food that it was nearly impossible. My energy was low all the time and I used sugar to give myself a temporary energy boost, but that only lasted a short time before I crashed and needed more.

The 8 week program gave me the support I needed to get past those first difficult weeks without sugar.  I learned how to choose healthy low glycemic snacks and even found several dessert recipes to choose from so my family doesn’t feel deprived (and I have the knowledge I need to alter future recipes to suit our new lifestyle).  I did end up losing a pant size, but for me the biggest blessing of completing the challenge is the freedom I feel like I have now.  I no longer feel like my life has to revolve around food!  My energy is better, I don’t have to schedule a nap every afternoon.  I can go to lunch with my family and order a salad and be content with it and enjoy the time together (instead of obsessing about how much I want some french fries and a coke like I used to!).  My son with type I diabetes is even using less insulin than he was using before I started the challenge. My kids are showing interest in learning how to keep their bodies strong, and I am proud that I can be a good example for them of how to live with healthy habits. Thank you Healthy Mom’s Kitchen!  This was exactly what me and my family needed!

-Jenny

When I started this challenge, I thought that eight weeks seemed like so long. I found myself saying things like, “How am I ever going to go 7 weeks without sugar?” or “I’m not sure if I can really work out five days a week.” or (after reading an article about water intake) “Am I really going to be able to drink half of my weight in water a day?” Now, I don’t feel like 8 weeks is long enough. Some small changes that I noticed this week that have really happened because of the last 8 weeks are:
  • Sugar doesn’t even tempt me anymore (Weird!).
  • I don’t have to eat to be social.
  • Exercise makes my whole day go better…mentally and physically.
  • I crave salad.
  • I am drinking 64-124 ounces a day, and I don’t feel like I’m floating.
  • And the best thing…I physically feel healthier.

Hi! I am interested in the 8 week challenge you have. I have been trying to live healthy and exercise often. I have lost 35lbs so far and am 15lbs off from my goal but seems like my body is at a stand still and I need to change some things up. I was wondering about what you recommended for the sugar/carb cleanser you mentioned. What is the low glycemic food list? Also, what are the “supplements” you talk about? Love the recipes you posted..I love having new things in our meal plans…
